I am committed to maintaining sufficient safety measures to support face to face sessions should you decide to attend Grey Space Counselling, at Oakridge Business Centre. The following guidelines will apply in order to maintain your safety at the time of your appointments:
- If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you are asked not to attend your face-to-face appointment. Please contact me and you will be offered an online or telephone appointment instead or the opportunity to reschedule if needed.
- I will now complete a lateral flow test if I experience symptoms and will inform clients if there is a positive test. Sessions will be offered remotely (via zoom) instead, providing I am well enough to proceed.
- The counselling room will be cleaned thoroughly between clients, with particular focus on regular touch points ie door handles, chair arms, light switches etc.
- I will wash my hands between sessions, after cleaning the counselling room.
- Hand sanitiser is available in the counselling room and clients are welcome to use it should they wish.
- The counselling rooms offer a comfortable space in which to undertake therapeutic work; chairs have been positioned to allow for reasonable distance on a diagonal line (rather than face on).
- As of 27th January 2022, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering; the wearing of a face covering in communal areas is encouraged but is not a prerequisite in the client space.
- Airflow and ventilation will be maintained through a window; this can be opened during sessions, (weather permitting) but will be opened between client sessions to allow for air exchange.
- Face to Face appointment times are staggered to allow sufficient time for cleaning of the counselling space and air exchange / ventilation between client sessions.
- It may not be possible to use creative resources such as sand or art materials. If creative materials are used, then appropriate cleaning of resources will take place after each client.
- Tissues are available (clients are asked to take any used tissues with them). Clients are welcome to bring their own tissues and refreshments (water) if they wish.
- There are toilet facilities at Oakridge Business Centre, but I am unable to confirm the cleaning regime of these and will leave it to the client should they decide to use these amenities.
- To minimise crowding in communal areas clients are asked to attend no earlier than their appointment time, where necessary clients may be asked to wait in their vehicle or outside the building.
I am fully vaccinated but I will never enquiry about your vaccination status.
In being made fully aware of the risks, you are accepting responsibility for your own wellbeing in agreeing to attend sessions at Grey Space Counselling
