When we experience these difficult periods we can feel overwhelmed and find ourselves in a place of not knowing, a place of seeking, a place of questioning. We call this the 'grey space' and we can find ourselves in this space for many reasons. Sometimes a life changing event triggers an immediate crisis, such as a bereavement. At other times it is a tiny voice deep inside telling us something is not quite right, and our anxiety increases. Or perhaps we become aware that our olds ways of living, are just no longer serving us. Counselling can help work through these life events.
This grey space can be confusing, lonely, and feel unbearable, but it can also be a place in which to heal, reconnect and grow. It is in this grey space where we meet, where our work begins, where you will be seen, heard and held without judgement. It is a place where we can explore what has happened to you, rather than what is wrong with you.
It is from sitting in and working through your grey space, that understanding, acceptance and peace can be found. This is your journey and you decide where the path leads and where we stop along the way; but you wont be alone, it is a path we can tread together, side by side.
